The Whispering Door

The Whispering Door; those who walked through would be granted knowledge yet to be discovered.

"I've finally made it.." thought Cielo.

She and her trusted steed and companion, Comet, had travelled across the universe in search of the doorway. They had finally reached their destination. Standing by the door was a strange wisp-like creature. The wisp did not speak, only making gestures; it had a graceful way about it, and slowly, the cryptic messages got through to Cielo. She understood only those judged to be generous and courageous could walk through; what lay beyond the door was not for the faint or evil of heart.

Nervous, Cielo stepped forward. The wisp, however, blocked her path and turned to Comet. After a little while, the wisp nodded and left the gateway to be entered. It had asked Comet if Cielo was worthy, and the great horse told the wisp he trusted his friend. The wisp knew animals did not lie.

Cielo took a deep breath and stepped through the shimmering door.
